Sarjapura Malayali Samajam is a Socio Cultural and Charitable organization registered under Karnataka Societies Act. Formed in the year 2017 the Samajam caters to the whole of Anekal Taluk of Bangalore City. Sarjapura and adjacent area is a heavily populated place with a lot of Keralites residing in and around. The Samajam has a reach of close to
3000 Malayali families in this area.
Since there was no cultural association existed in this area to cater to a huge population, some like -minded people brought up the idea to bring in all Keralites under one umbrella and the story of the Samajam begun there.
Samajam is actively involved in the cultural, social and traditional development of the Keralite population here. In a short span of time Samajam has reached out to maximum Malayali population under the area of operation and made a significant change in the lives of Keralites around. Samajam has made every attempt to its objective of promoting arts, culture, language, education, traditional values ..etc
Formation
Few highly motivated youngsters felt the need of an association for Malayalam speaking community in this area met together and assembled a crowd of 300 like minded individuals who were eagerly waiting for formation of a Samajam for many years. In 2017 April 26 the first meeting of Samajam happened and every one unanimously of the opinion to form an association. By July 2017 the Samajam got registered and we immediately started our Malayalam Classes for the children under Kerala Govt. Malayalam Mission. The Pravesanotsavam was inaugurated by World known violinist and Grammy award winner Shri. Manoj George. Our Official inauguration was done by the hands of Excise Commissioner and DGP of Kerala Shri. Rishiraj Singh IPS on Oct 15, 2017.
